TECHNOLOGY & EXPERIENCE

ALARIC project comes from composite materials research group led by Professor Roberto Segoni, Department of Industrial Design, University of Florence, who has 30 years of experience in applications of composite materials in automotive, aircraft, shipbuilding and bicycle frames.

INTEGRATED DESIGN

Unlike conventional bikes, the ALARIC LFS is being designed as an integrated system which includes the front fork, the telescopic stem with integrated handlebar, and the new Morpheus carbon seat.  The caliper front and rear brakes Negative Gravity by CIAMILLO are fully integrated and wrapped by the front fork and the rear stays.  All cables remain inside the handlebar, stem and frame.

AERODYNAMICS

The speed you can achieve on your bike is determined by your power output and by the wind resistance (drag). Wind resistance increases with the square of the speed, so the faster you go, the more wind drag there is to overcome. Our design objective is a frame with a significant aero advantage, with an aero profile front fork, stem and rear stays. Integrated brakes and inner cables further reduce the bike drag. This is why the ALARIC will let you go faster.

TAILOR MADE IN ITALY

Each frame is tailor made in Italy and optimized for rider weight.

EFFICIENCY & LIGHT WEIGHT

High tensile strength and modulus carbon fiber T700 and T800 allow us to create a lightweight and incredibly stiff frame. Size and thickness of main frame, front boom, front fork and rear stays are optimized to increase the inertia and reducing the weight. Riders of the ALARIC will experience unprecedented efficiency, responsiveness, comfort and speed.

ALARIC Pioneers

Starting from October 2009, 10 bikes from our first production run will be in the hands of ALARIC Pioneers around the world.  ALARIC Pioneers are our first customers to evaluate ALARIC and provide us with valuable feedback on their experiences. Only ALARIC Pioneers will have a reserved price.
