We founded our company in 2006 with the goal to contribute to the more and more widely spread growth of biking in Hungary and to your success by supplying the so far unknown, extraordinary recumbent bikes, folding bikes and premium quality accessories, including the importing all practical development and new, innovative products that are not yet available in Hungary. In favour of reaching this goal we created our proprietary brand -evobike- by fusing 'evo' as evolution in biking and 'bike'. Our aim is to create and introduce Evobike products that are developped or imported based on our own experiences and to make our brand even with premium quality biking in Hungary.
We mean ordinary, weekend, sports, hiking, recumbent and folding bikes and all the practical accessories.
Only those novelties, bikes, accessories and developments are available at us that either have the best value for money or meet top quality requirements. We are working on setting up a reseller shop network that covers the whole country, so that our imported and own quality products will be available at any point, in each town of Hungary for the same price and with the same standards. About recumbent bikes in brief:
Mankind has always seeked for more, better, faster, nicer, far and more comfortable. Proving the ability of breaking previously accepted rules and limits again and again.
In biking, this was achieved by recumbent biking. The maximal speed record of 130 km/h gained by human power on flat road was performed by a fully covered aerodynamically optimized recumbent bike. You can see some recumbent bikes -internationally called HPV that is HUMAN POWER VEHICLE - in below pictures:
Of course, we also have to understand the rules of physics and aerodynamics. As we know, drag increases involving by speed. That means in case of travelling over the speed
of 40-50 km/h most of our energy is consumed to fight drag. We only need to decrease and optimize the front-view projection, the aerodynamic form and the drag of the biker.
Let's put physics on ice. Why is it good for us, bikers?
Practically, it means that consuming the same quantity of energy we can ride faster on a recumbent bike than by a traditional road bike as it is shown in the below diagrams.
For example, this is how 250W of our energy invested in pedaling is used in case of different bikes. The diagram shows the speed differences between our chosen recumbent bike and a traditional one.
This diagram shows how much energy we need to reach 40 km/h speed either by a recumbent bike or by a traditional one. Besides these, recumbent biking has several other advantages as well.We get further under the same time as we do not squirm on a palm-sized surface but in an armchair supporting the whole spine, so our spine, wrists, neck, elbows and shoulders get tired later. The time and energy we saved that way can be used for combating the distance.
The world record holder recumbent bike (HPV)
Racers developed numerous models through the years. Bicycles, tricycles, fully covered, semi-veneered or uncovered ones.
By now in the recumbent category there are short, tall, small, long, racing, hiking, odd wheel bikes, bicycles and tricycles and also ones for achieving record speed. These bikes appealed to millions of bikers in the whole world in the last decades.
In few words, if we want to travel more comfortable, to a far destination, at the highest speed or if any of these factors is important for us, the perfect solution for us is a recumbent bike.

Is it more difficult to ride a recumbent bike?
It was a challenge not to fall with a normal one til we did not learn how to ride it. We do not need such a big step to learn how to ride a recumbent bike. Of course, balancing is different compared to traditional bicycles because the center of gravity and seat of a recumbent bike are much lower depending on types.

About folding bikes in a nutshell:
No matter whether you ride, walk, shop or travel, you can have these bikes with you all the while. The need for smaller sizes and more knowledge can be sensed at all walks of life because of the local changes and increasing congestion of the world. By now our phone transformed from a street phone booth to a half-palm sized handbag decoration, our computers shrank from the whole room size to a laptop that fits in our side bag without losing any function or knowledge, on the contrary. There is a trend in the bike world for that, these are the folding bikes. With different sizes and knowledge they aspire to be the vehicles in eliminating the ordinary traffic jams of the crowded cities and being the innovative vehicles in helping locomotion and travel both for short and long distance. Besides that these bikes become useful help in recreation and hiking too.

We founded our company GURUTECH Bt. in 2006 December with the unconcealed intention to sell and develop the forgotten recumbent and folding bikes and accessories in Hungary.
In 2007 January we created and registered our brand called Evobike and we started to import premium products and develop our own developments that we introduce continuously. Our aim is to set up a countrywide reseller shop network at your service.
After long preparation in 2007 January we became the exclusive representative of the professional, enduring recumbent bikes of Toxy. Toxy recumbent bikes represent durability and exactitude for several decades. Their users often ride 20-30.000 km annually, due to the excellent components it causes no problems for these bikes.
In 2007 February we became the exclusive representative of Slyway recumbent bikes. Slyway is a new brand in recumbent biking, but Italian passion and temperament accompanied its development, and a beautiful, passionate light and fast supply was the result. They developed models for all needs from hiking to bike racing with different equipments. If appearance is important for you, the Italian Slyway brand -like a Ducati bike- will impress everyone who has sense of aesthetics.
In 2007 February we were qualified to represent Nazca recumbent bikes exclusively. The Dutch Nazca recumbent bikes are versatile, tenacious and durable because their frame is made of steel combined with aluminum. In 2007 February we attained the exclusive right of representing Mobiky folding bikes.
